Cookies are my absolute favourite treat on earth. When I was pregnant both times, every Saturday I would walk up to our local bakery and get myself my favourite Nutella biscotti. To this day when I have them, I think of my belly and my babies. I half joke that the girls were built on biscotti. Foods hold such special memories, don’t they?
Read MoreSecond only to fall apple picking, spending the day in the strawberry field is my favourite harvest-y thing to do with my girls. The girls absolute love it, too. Goldie loves treating the patch like an all-you-can-eat buffet while Bea likes picking out the “perfect” berries for her basket. We’ve been visiting Butt’s Berry Farm just outside of Guelph, ON for a few years now and I highly recommend them if you’re in the area.
Read MoreI’ve been wanting to update our kitchen since we bought our cottage almost 6 years ago. I love the pine cupboards and the layout is functional, but the countertops, backsplash and hardware made the space feel dated, dark and dingy. I knew a few changes would make a big impact so we made a plan and got to work.
Read MoreHere we go with the breakdown of our experience with the app and Genie+ how we did the park, managed our time and energy levels, what we brought for the day and a quick review of the rides we loved!
Read MoreTrying to plan our first Disney trip felt like showing up to the last day of school trying to write an exam when I hadn’t attended a single class. There is So.Much.To.Learn. But I’m here to tell you while the overwhelm can be real, it is all completely figure-out-able!
Read MoreHi, hi, hiiii!! It’s certainly been a while since I’ve shared here on the site, and I’ve truly missed it. After a bit of an unintentional hiatus, so many of you checked in with me (and RG!) to see how we are doing which was so lovely and appreciated. So, I figured it was a good time to share a little Family Graham update.
Read MoreAfter 2 long years we’re finally able to gather (safely) with the ones we love and celebrate holidays, occasions and milestones. I missed gathering and hosting so much so these times together feel extra special. When I’m planning a get-together I always check-in with my friend and sommelier, Elizabeth Davies. She knows exactly what to pair with what I’m serving and always gives the best recommendations.
Read MoreThis is my go-to, tried-tested-and-true, makes-me-feel-put-together-when-I have-zero-time, face. 8 products and 5 mins is all it takes to pull this off.
Read MoreWe just got back from our first trip as a family of 4 and it was so, so wonderful. To have the privilege to be able to get away and play and indulge and laugh and rest and make memories was such a gift.
Read MoreI love sharing things I’m into (hello @thebeachwaver!). And with Valentine’s day moment’s away (ahem, RG, cough, cough, ahem) I wanted to give some love to Canadian businesses that give me those “will you be mine” vibes. None of these are #ads. Just straight up things I love that I think you will, too!
Read MoreI’m not gonna lie, sharing the health and fitness journey I’ve been on gives me a little pang of panic. We’re all becoming more aware of diet culture, how it’s literally everywhere and how toxic it can be. And I think we’re all trying, truly trying, to rid ourselves of the programming that’s been engrained in us since before we could remember. I’m doing everything I can to keep those ideas and “ideals” as far away from my girls as possible.
Read MoreSeptember always feels like a fresh start, doesn’t it? It’s a feeling baked-in since the first day of school. But for me it carried on to my career because it’s also when we mark the start of a new season in television. Far and away, the question I’m most often asked is “how did you get your start?” And since this week marks my 20th anniversary in the television it seems like a pretty good day to share that story with you now.
Read MoreWe’ve been back city living for a couple months now so I thought I’d give you an update on how the Grahams are doing! I started back to work in April and I have loved being back with my TV family. Even though we’re still working from home just hearing their voices over the intercom we use to shoot with everyday brings me such joy. I didn’t realize how much I missed having something for me; a purpose outside of the girls.
Read MoreI take care of my hair the way I maintain my skin. I treat it and take care of it based on what it needs. Most of the questions I get when it comes to self-care and beauty are about my hair. So, I thought I’d break down what I use to wash, condition, treat and style this mane of mine.
Read MoreOur sweet baby girl is almost 14 months and I thought I’d share with you how she’s been doing and what she’s been up to! The biggest change is that Goldie girl is on the MOVE! She started to crawl about 2 weeks ago after working so hard to figure it out. Since about Christmas she was doing this kinda army crawl thing in the living room and then when we’d put her down in her crib she used it as a training facility to master getting up on all fours; rocking her bum back and forth.
Read MoreMy sweet Bea has been in this room for over a year now and it’s taken me that long to get this post together (in case you’re wondering how life with a 4 year old and a baby during a pandemic is going). I was really excited to make this room magical for my big girl because I wanted her to have a space she loved that was just hers before the arrival of her sister that would, inevitably, turn her life upside down. And who would be taking over her old room. She wouldn’t miss the old room if the new room was amazing, right?!
Read MoreThis is a topic I’ve wanted to tuck into for a while because so many of you have asked about my experience going from one babe to two. And now that I’ve got a full year now under my belt, I feel able to share how it’s been for me. I told RG I was working on this post and as we were talking quickly realized our experiences and perspectives on the subject are TOTALLY DIFFERENT. So, I thought I’d offer you both.
Read MoreI’ve been thinking a lot about the things this year has taught me (more on that in a later post). One of the things that stood out was separating from the immediacy of getting things I need or want whenever I want. It took a good few months to retrain my brain not to think I could just “run out” anymore. We’ve been living at our cottage since March and try to shop seldomly, only going in to town for essentials. Because of this I became forced to make due with what was under our roof. So, when it came to wanting to add a little more to our holiday décor, I decided to look around at what we had in our shed and just outside the door.
